What are they thinking in Washington DC these days?

Or is putting "thinking" and "Washington" in the same sentence an oxymoron?

Bush is planing to have the U.S. jump feet first into a no-way-we-can-win war in Iraq. It even sounds like he is willing to go to war with, or without the approval of Congress.   [...]
