Please educate me: How has Bush shredded the American Constitution?

Also, on the honor system, I ask that anyone who responds state whether they have actually read the Constitution.

How has Bush shredded the Constitution? Here's one small example:
"I don't think witchcraft is a religion. I would hope the military officials would take a second look at the decision they made." G.W. Bush, as Governor of Texas. Interviewed on ABC's Good Morning America, June 24th, 1999. He disapproved of Wiccan soldiers being given the same religious rights as others in the military.
The Bill or Rights, Amendment I states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"
I happen to be Wiccan and in the United States Navy. I fight for my country so that everyone in our country has the right to worship as they choose, so that they have the right to speak as they will.. For him, the future president of the United States, to say that I shouldn't be allowed to practice the religion of my choice based on his personal beliefs is ridiculous.
Also, to answer your other question, I have read the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence several times. Perhaps your question should be whether or not G.W. Bush has ever read the Constitution. He certainly doesn't seem to care much about anyone's rights.

My friend, thank you for fighting for our freedoms. However, I respectfully disagree with you. Allow me to list the reasons (I like lists):
(1) Bush said nothing and did nothing that even remotely suggested violating your excerpt from the Bill of Rights, which refers to passing laws.
(2) Bush simply expressed his opinion and religious beliefs, which he is free to do.
(3) Witchcraft and Wiccan are not synomynous. Wiccan is a religion, witchcraft is a practice. While they are not necessarily mutually exclusive, it is misleading and simply incorrect to suggest they are the same. This leads to the next point.
(4) Journalists consider unethical the misapplication of quotes to forward a predetermined view, even if other quotes and sources clearly support it. In fact, the practice strongly undermines your position and reveals that you have no factual basis for your opinion. Instead, it exposes your stance as purely emotional. This leads to the final point.
(5) I think you just dislike or hate Bush and dislike his religious views because they differ from yours.

Thank God (or. . .whomever) that you and George Bush don't live in a Moslem nation where political leaders would torture you, kill you, and burn your body for holding your views. God bless America.
