Being quiet

I've been a bit quiet again lately, mainly because with the Thanksgiving holiday just past, I've wanted to reflect on what it is that's good in life, and that generally means ignoring politics since there seems to be very little good that comes out of that.

So, I've been indulging myself these last few days in some of my favourite pleasures - reading (just finished "The DaVinci Code" - yes, I'm a bit slow on picking it up, but, damn, if that isn't a good book - I'm no starting on the author's first Robert Langdon story, "Angels and Demons", which looks to be just as good), music (I just got a new keyboard and am going to try to teach myself how to play, plus I've been working on practicing my guitar and listening to a lot of my favourite track with heavy empahsis on anything featuring Alex Lifeson), bad weather (we actually had THUNDERSNOW in my area a few days ago!) and playing games with my friends - particularly "City of Heroes", which is great fun if you've not had a chance to check it out.

But I suppose it's time to get back a bit more to reality and start paying attention to the world again, so I'll be posting more again. I hope you all had a chance to enjoy some of your favourite things over the holidays, too.
